Finally...
« on: Jul 18, 2021, 07:59 AM »
My old sonar had pixels that were squares with 1/16 inch sides. A "six dotter" was a good size fish.  It is 20 yers old and still works. I replaced it about 3 years ago with a stryker 4 which sat in its packaging until yesterday.  When I downsized boats from a 16 to a 14 ft craft. I didn't put the old depth finder on the new boat.  But, I didn't put the new one on either.  Yesterday I finally installed the new one and went off in search of white bass.  I didn't really need the sonar as I have fished the lake since it filled in 1968. I did however learn that one of my tried and true trolling runs is a very slight ridge that for whatever reason stacks fish. All in all, an interesting
day topped off with another fish fry.  Holy Moley the water temp was 78.56 deg.....
