Lots Of water Around Here.
« on: Jul 18, 2021, 07:40 AM »
USGS for Ganargua Creek.

Hit near 1500cfm this morning. 1400cfm more than it was a day ago. At lock 29.

The golf course is shut down today.

The retention pond looked like this a couple weeks ago.

This is the vortex of water flowing from the retention pond into the big pond. About 12” across.

There were still some crazy golfers wanting to go out this morning. Some of the cart paths were under a foot of water.

My rain gauge just now.

Just over 4”  since yesterday.

Won’t have to water the gardens for a while I guess.

Lots of rain here in the midwest/Great Lakes too. About 2 1/2 inches a week.

But sadly out west it's as dry as ever.

Wow, I'd like to see some rain like that. Reservoirs are drying up and fires are going crazy out here.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things change for ya.

Wish I could ship you a few hundred thousand acre feet.

Erie Canal is up about 4’ from what I can see.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Yea, I would too, but take torrential rains here to help. Some fires in Montana are predicted to burn until snow flies. Four lakes pretty much drained around here, the one behind the house will survive this year, but another bad winter and spring and it'll be gone too. Farmers are feeding cows now because they have no grass, hay prices are through the roof and not any moisture in our long term forecast.

Me too, my favorite walleye lake could use a bunch.

Well there's another excuse to jack up the price of beef again even if other parts of the country are not having issues.

Sadly, that and pork/chicken will all most likely go up.

I thought this was pretty funny this morning.

One of the pros went out on #18 with a cart and tried to drive through 18” water on the cart path.
Looked like this yesterday morning.

Needless to say, the cart is still there.

Water is not a lot different today.
