Right vehicle, wrong place, wrong seasonSunday, Jul. 6, 2008 MEREDITH – A Wolfeboro man is facing a reckless conduct charge after skimming his snowmobile on Lake Winnipesaukee amidst heavy boat traffic, the state Marine Patrol said. Jonathan Miller, 20, of 82 Haines Hill Road, was found operating the machine in the area of Spindle Point at about 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Authorities said Miller, who was wearing a lifejacket and a helmet equipped with a video camera, was pulled from the water after the machine sank.He was taken to the patrol’s headquarters and booked following the incident, authorities said. The Marine Patrol also said the state Fish and Game Department is investigating a second incident of a person operating a snowmobile on the lake Friday, in the area of Wagonwheel Trail in Meredith Bay. No charges have yet been filed in that case.
