Here's a few from a spring striper charter i took out of Kingston NY on the Hudson:

Have you ever seen a pike this red before? As i reeled him in i thought he had gotten hit by a boat prop or something.

Yeah, that charter captain doesn't like using live bait. He feels they get hooked too deep. Plus,
he claims he gets bored sitting in the same spot all day drifting. That day their was a tournament going on (lots of boat traffic). Nobody was doing much catching. In eight hours we boated a total of 18 fish. When we left, the fish were biting real good.

That's the way to do it.

We changed up colors and patterns quite a bit. Most came on the downriggers...a couple on a flat-line.

What was the guide using for rods and reels for the stripahs? How was the fight with that tackle?

A medium-heavy baitcasting outfit. It was OK...i would've enjoyed the fight a little more with lighter tackle. You could kinda just haul em in.
