FISHED UPPER TODAY FROM 10 TILL DUSK, WATER TEMP 50 DEGREES IN MAIN BODY UP TO 56 IN THE SHALLOW COVE AREAS,LITTLE IF NO WIND TILL ABOUT 3PM, SLOW BITE BUT DID GET 8 SMALL 1-1.5 POUND BASS AND A DOZEN PICKEREL. BASS MAINLY ON CREATURE BAITS WORKING THE STUMPS. 2 OTHER BOATS OUT TILL 3PM AND AFTER THAT JUST US, NOT EVEN A KAYAK TO BE SEEN, 51 DEGREE AIR TEMP WHEN WE LEFT., WATER IS CRYSTAL AND I MEAN CRYSTAL CLEAR. NOT ONE SPOT ANYWHERE I COULD NOT SEE THE BOTTOM. YOU CAN ALSO TELL THERE WAS NOT A HARD DEEP FREEZOVER IN ICE SEASON FOR THE WEEDS ARE ONLY A FEW INCHES FROM THE SURFACE AND NOT EVEN GROWING YET, GONNA BE PRETTY WELL CHOKED THIS YEAR.

Fished Upper Lake yesterday for a few hours mid day. Got one small bass and 3 small Pickerel. This was the biggest.
Leaves are just starting to change.

Chris- that’s not me- but you’re right- it is a chair strapped to a standup paddle board. I tried to steer him towards a sit on top kayak, but he liked the paddle board for some reason. I don’t think he’s gonna be putting that in the river, though! ;)
