Have seen pics on IS and I think its a burbot?

Feels like a big one.

I’ve never caught one this big before.
I’ll try not to horse him.
And if I land him I promise to release him
And make a graphite replica...

My buddy Ed caught it today when we were out.  He kept calling it a ling....I kept telling him no it's a _______
Well, a couple of times anyway.  He was driving and it was a ways from home  ::)

thats a bowfin, a burbot looks like this you cant fool me on that one i fish for burbot in the winter here in sk :P

100% bowfin one fighting fish,
I fish for those "stupid fish" BASS. Largemouth Smallmouth Stripers, and even Rock bass.

Tons of fun on any tackle- best fighter, like mixing pickerel's lonng runs witht he pull of a smallie.

Heard there good if you bleed um asap.
