People are probably spending their stimulus checks before they arrive. I see mine will be deposited on 4/15.

My checking account (Online) shows when deposits will be posted. Usually a day or two ahead.

Got to Lowes for my 4 hour shift to find the store packed with people. Couldn't believe it. Families with little kids and a herd of seniors buying garden supplies, flowers, paint, lighting and other stuff.

Went to my Boss and had a chat. He said " What  the hell are you doing here anyway.....GO HOME!".

I quickly obliged. Came home and went fishing. Can't say much for the fishing, but at least I'm not in a crowded store.

What's wrong with these people anyway?

A bad day fishing is better than a good bad a day at work.

Stay safe.

Thanks Bart.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Home Depot near me is only letting a certain amount of people in at a time. As some leave more are let in. It's working out pretty well.

Smithwick was paying these employees $500 a day to come in to work while sick.

That's a lot of money to put jerk baits together.

At least Lowes doesn't do that. They did raise everyone's pay by $2/ hr through May 1. But they've sent their high risk employees home. I know of  at least 15 people who have health issues who were told they were not to report to work for a month. They're off with full pay.

What that does show is that rural states are not immune to this virus and a fast light switch to ON can be a train wreck without sampling ready to go to isolate  individuals and hot spots. that sampling includes seemingly healthy asymptomatic individuals.
