Seneca Nation

Seneca Nation has suspended fishing to nonresidents. That means Cattaraugus and Alleganey Reservations. Includes portions of Cattaraugus Creek and NY part of Kinzua reservoir. Vendors can not issue fishing permits to non Senecas anymore. Heard it on Seneca radio 105.9 this morning also in SNI news.

So Locked out of Kinzua Reservoir, Alleganey river and all streams mud and fast, went to Quaker Lake. Set up for carp or bullhead with a perch rig and sinker. Was ready to quit. Got this 20 inch brown trout. If the pole had not been between my legs it would have been gone. Fought like crazy. Stripping line. Swallowed hook with night crawler. Got to camp to clean it. She had a swivel hanging out of her gill. When I opened her up In her stomach I found a tube jig looked like it was rigged for ice fishing and another white plastic with the hook and line rotted off.

They closed up season end of march.. it's all 100% Covid related...
They went and picked up all licenses books so there could not be anymore sold..
Supposed to add on whatever time we lose to our license for current licensees.. reservation licenses are good now for a full year unlike years ago when it was only good from jan 1- dec 31

All about the Benjamins $$$. Their economy is already in rough shape with casinos closed. Had to re-open for Memorial weekend. Gas, camping, smokes, bait, fishing permits. Spend some $$$ to help them out. Reservoir water should be fishable. Good luck Y'all.
