Jigs For Pike
« on: Jun 01, 2004, 11:17 PM »
Do any of you guys use and have success for pike with jigs? My friend uses bigger sassy shads and twistertails on leadhead jigs, often with a spinner blade. He seems to always catch pike.
I have caught them off jigs before, but how do you guys like jigs and plastics?

Northland whistler jigs & airplane jigs have the vib & action to call in a pike for the other side of the lake. Constant action is the key. Tipped with a minnow, leech or power bait.

I've had interesting success on a larger foxy jig. Tipped with nothing. The pike really like it for some reason.
