just wondering if anyone has ever fished the erie canal in fairport? where do ya go and what fish are in there? i ve never fished it but would like to. any info would be great help thanx!!

I'd concentrate more towards Port Gibson if I were you. The Widewaters hold more fish because it's a natural section fed and isn't drained each year. About the only things you'll get in Fairport are carp and catfish.
