RiverRat tales(Bass,gils, 5lb eye@Toga)
« on: Aug 14, 2006, 04:57 PM »

My brother who is like the biggest power fisherman going finally scaled down.He always thumbed his nose at panfish, perch, and pretty much anything that wasn't a bass or a pike.He always wants the big fish.Well last week he scaled down a bit and caught a couple of real aggressive bluegils.I knew Lance wouldn't believe me so I had to post a pic. ;D  He liked it so much he actually went and bought an ultra lite set up.

So today hes got his new set up and we decide to pan fish.We caught a boat load of fish today.I haven't ultra lite fished in years so I dug one out.I ended up catching my biggest LMB of the season.5lb10oz on 4lb test and a 1/32oz jighead and twister.Poor old fish only had one good eye.Tail was real beat up too. This fish just looked old.

My bro got the day started with this one.

I see the pictures, and I still  almost don't believe it yet.  The brothers Gilbert going Ultralight.  Exactly HOW MANY TIMES did you guys bust on me BAD when I would break out the Ultra Light?  WOW.  I owe Mark some serious ball-busting.

Nice fish BTW, I espeicially love the 5lb 10oz bass on a 7lbers frame. Think we'll see her in October? 8)

WTG nice fish guys.  Camofish has got me hooked on ultra lite stuff.  I carry 2 in my rod box now.  Only spinning gear I own.

BTW nice photochop   :D

I'd say the chances are pretty good. ;) I know where she lives. We might even be able to refine the cyclops pattern a bit Lance.I'd say you owe my bro and me a wee bit of ball busting.  ::)

Niffken - Thats not a photo chop, thats stinking green fog being emitted from my brothers stank azz! :o I'm surprised you don't see that aura around BRF more.

I changed the time of year, river and state you were fishing.  I did this in less then 5 minutes so its not perfect.

Very nice bass Rat, regardless of the time of year ;)

I thought that green fog was some PCB residue.

My cat thinks my boat is her personal hammock. She does look comfy though!!

Yesterday my brother and I went to Toga for the day.The fishing was really good for the first hour or so we were there. After that they were few and far between..My bro got all the good ones this trip.Heres the best ones.

Check out my brothers shirt.Pretty funny  ;D

All in all not a bad day, little  boat traffic, light winds, and overcast.
