I made new fishing video. I can see the moment the fish to bite. It's so fun.

Awesome video Niru! The salmon must hit the rod and then head towards the surface? It’s odd seeing the rod lose tension when the fish hits.

Thank you. :D :D This fish has the habit of swimming upwards after biting. So It is signal of bite that there is no tension at the tip of rod. They pull 112.5g sinker.

Our land locked Atlantic salmon where I live so the same thing. Sometimes they are out of the water before you can get to the rod!

I see. They like jumping. Kokanee is landlocked sockeye salmon, so very delicious. I love it.

Niru-san,
Very cool video. Neat seeing the rod go slack to detect bites.

Yhank you. :D :D  I love this fishing method. Maybe I think it was transmitted from the US. I thank to the person who invented this method.
And also love Garmin sonar.

I don't see many people on the lake with you. I would think as densely populated as Japan is, there would be more?  I realize the area you are in is not densely populated but still...

And thank you for sharing!

Thank you. :D :D
Entry fee on this lake is expensive. It costs about $ 250 a season (April to September) or $ 45 a day.
So I think there are few anglers.
I really like the kayaking fishing table I made myself. The rod and transducer can be fixed, which is very convenient.

niru_04,

Thanks for your reply. Yes when money is involved that separates the serious ones from the not so serious. That said I would gladly pay $250.00 per year to fish a lake like that!

Very nice platform. Your skill at building things is impressive! Is this in your line of work?

Thank you. :D :D I like handmade fishing tool. It has nothing to do with my work, but there are many attractive tools that my father-in-low is using at wife’s house. It is very fun to devise and make various tools.
