I have been alternating between mud hole and north fork composite for my spinning blanks. I have also bought blanks on eBay but have found a lot of blemishes and inconsistencies in them. No matter who you buy blanks from, the prices are up as the same for everything else.  Shipping can be free if you hit it right and buy over a certain amount. I usually wait and buy a half dozen blanks and components at a time and combine orders with a rod builder friend of mine when they offer free shipping.
One thing about mud hole I liked was the fact that I could call them up and actually talk to someone that knew what they were talking about and was  able to answer my questions.

Mud hole is way overpriced for what they provide. Their shipping is off the charts. Products are mediocre. Gave up on them years ago.

Much better off searching an IM-6 blank on eBay. Way better places to get blanks, guides and handle components.

I’m only 20 or so personal rods in + countless custom rods for others.

Out of it now and maybe things have changed…..but, I doubt it.

Yeah ready to bust out the 6wt and throw some poppers for bass and gills.

My wife does the sewing thing also and hunts a fishes with me ...I always let her know if going to make a purchase just to make sure we're on same page...she does the same ...works out good ..30 years together and all the crap ( some guys on here know what I'm talking about) that I've done I have NO reason to bi@#h
