I tried last night and the wind was directly in my face from the east and I wasn't prepared for it.  So I stayed until I couldnt stand it and left with 10 big ones.

Hit my little pond yesterday afternoon for a couple hours. Nada! Water temps dropped a lot and shut it down. Should pick up a lot this weekend. If not I'll head someplace else.

Only fished cats at the widewaters. Lots of them in there.

Did better this afternoon. Got a dozen. I used to drive all over the place for them. Long pond, third creek, bay bridge, Honeoye, i-Bay..... these fish are 4 miles from home. Best of all, they hit better during the afternoon than way into the dark. Fits an old man's schedule much better.

...union fished the river (Seneca) coming out of cayuga lake....which is a little far for you but wondered if wide waters would be good too?

Well I'vgot. Big fat cooler full to clean in the morning. Some good size too.  Got there around 3 it was 70 and calm. When I left at 5:30 it was raining and 43. They shut down completely.

Not that I'm surprised.

But, it's just getting started in my favorite little pond and there's fish for the fry👍
