Maine / Re: Water Pump Cost« Last post by Mac Attack on Today at 07:43 AM »Yea Ben.
Amazon has the pump for $20. Guy marks it up to make a little profit on the materials. And let's say he gets $100/hr for his labor, which is quite low these days. And I'm not sure that I could do the job in an hour.....or 3 hrs for that matter. Then there is tax. I agree with you that $168 for the job isn't out of the question. 8
Massachusetts / Re: Long Rod Chronicles« Last post by westernmas on Today at 07:39 AM »Still used the long rod but didn't target trout Saturday morning. While on our way out to check on adopting a rescue puppy in Eastham I made the executive decision to get up early and target stripers. High tide was round 830 so I knew if I got there by 9-10 the tides should be perfect to create the rip I like to fish. I timed it pretty good and got a solid 25" striper on one of my first few casts. Shortly after that I got another smaller schoolie. The wind was cranking and the gf was getting cranky so I called it quits. The tide had also gone out so there wasn't a whole heck of a lot water left to fish. However, the biggest catch of the weekend was the hound/lab/shepherd mix that we brought home from Eastham.
