Since MiP already started a fav spots list for opening day I thought I'd add to it and ask everyone what is there "weapon" of choice for trout???

Usually night crawlers on opening day and then Blue Fox spinners in rainbow and brown trout colors. As for flies way too many to list.

AK isn't coming soon enough....can't wait to fight with 1 grizzly for 100,000 fish instead of 1,000 snaggers for 10.

I still go for the big 'ole juicy Night Crawler. During the summer I have used Grasshoppers and Crayfish with good results. May have to try some Crayfish during the early season this year.

i try every thing and they have all had there day its all on the fish some times they only go fore one coulor even with power bait i find mini marshmellows work well and a urban pond i fished as a kid the best bait was scrap liver from a butcher shop they called it melts and they went crazy to get at it

I just basically use a white/silver blade or black/silver blade both 1/8 rooster tail, but my personal favorite is still nightcrawlers, and once and a while I'll try some power bait.

for the first few stockings i use worms and fathead minnows for the brookies. then i go with the 1/8 rooster tail
and on cloudy days a panther martin with gold blade.
