We gotta get rid of this lousy ice so we can switch gears....  If it isn't good enough to stand on, who needs it?

Hey Mike,
I like Greenwood for trolling and Echo for casting, only fished Monksville and Hopatcong once each last year. Plan to fish Both more this season.

Have only had the oppurtunity to target them at Monksville and Mountain lake through the ice this winter but am defiantly looking forward to trying both places as well as Greenwood in the spring.
Chasing them pigs with fins!

AK isn't coming soon enough....can't wait to fight with 1 grizzly for 100,000 fish instead of 1,000 snaggers for 10.

Trolling with big jerkbaits on Lake Hopatcong ;D.   I love that place!!  I would fish Greenwood Lake,  but that's almost 2hr drive for me. but i'm sure it's just as good if you time it right..                                 J.

1st would have to go to Monksville next would have to go to mountain (because it's only 20mins from my house) than Greenwood and than Hopatcong.
Don't know what it is about Echo but it didn't even make my list because I just don't like it
Good hunting, Jeff
Carl Spackler: We can do that. We don't even need a reason.

I think the reason Echo Lake would be so good is due to the fact you need to get a permit to fish it and most people don't wanna have to mail out for one.

i like echo lake and then monksville for casting and trolling. as for the permit
you can go in person to  NWCDC
                                        223 echo lake road
                                        new foundland,nj 07435
                                        (973)697-2850
have you fishing license with you.
you can get a day or season permit
season permit covers all 4 lakes.
