My 1986 SeaRay Seville
« on: Jun 27, 2007, 06:09 AM »
I bought a used SeaRay a few years ago and it runs great.... except the shifter/throttle/remote control has a spongy feel to it when going between forward-neutral-reverse.  There is a detente when it is locked in neutral.  There is lever travel before it catches gear when put in the forward position.  The same thing when in reverse.  It is all over the place and makes it difficult to navigate in marinas.  It has new drive unit and shift cables.  I adjusted them many times to the manual.  In the off season I've taken it to various reputable repair shops.  Any ideas?
My fish are all the same size - bite size
