Is it worth getting a monthly subscription? My wife is thinking of getting it for me for Christmas.
Take a kid fishing

It depends on the type of fishing you do. My daughter got me one a few years ago. Small jigs, plastic worms, etc. Most for panfish. Not many lures. I have fished for over 60 years, I have enough stuff that I don't use....h2l

My daughter got me a subscription to the Mystery box a couple years ago. Had a lot of stuff in it that I don't use. For the price she paid I didn't think it was worth it. I've got the Secret bait box from Outlet bait and tackle and found it had more stuff that I used for less money.
