Title: Where to fish this weekend.
Post by: lowaccord66 on Oct 30, 2018, 08:22 PM
Gentlemen...I've been in Colorado since Saturday and I am dying to get back and fish.  The million dollar question is what for?

At least the scenery is decent!

Next time out here I'm bringing a fly rod!

Those pictures you sent me were unreal. Glad ill be there myself in a few weeks. For work, but fly rod is joining me.

Tautog bite is unreal. Fresh trout have been stocked and holdovers are also biting. Bass bite is up and down depending on body of water and weather pattern. Pike season is upon us as well.

Choices o' choices. My go to would be togs for numbers, fight and flavor.

My fishing is all but finished with bird season upon us and deer opening up saturday.

Whatever you do, good luck and more importantly, enjoy.

November means two things for me: salmon/lakers at Wachusett and browns at South Pond. Also going to get a ticket on a tautog headboat.

There's a chance I may be heading to the cape.  Should I bring the ditch gear?  I'll have some freshwater gear but not sure if I should give the ditch a go as well.

Small fish in the ditch. I honestly would bring it and focus on the radar station or ice arena in the morning. Then go trout fishing after. What's nice now is that y ou u dont have to get up at 3am anymore to fish the ditch and 7am is perfect.

Sounds like a plan.

Depends.  You miss the sea herring going through you will miss big fish.  Hard to get a handle on but there are keepers north of the Cape still.

Good luck wherever you go, Jon!

You're always welcome to come visit my neck of the woods - - I'd be happy to show you around, schedule permitting - - although this might not be the best time of year to do so since the action on the streams appears to be slowly winding down.
