Post by: mainesalmonslayer on Nov 25, 2021, 09:16 AM
Have any of you fine fishing folks done 1 or had 1 built?I am gonna build 2 with Anika fly in Brewer, 8'med/light,6-12 #.8" cork butts.I use Mitchell 782's or other mooching reels primarily.

I have not, but I'd like to.  I haven't been happy with the production trolling rods I've found in retail.  I'd love to have a pair of custom setups built to my specs.  Closest I've found are some kokanee salmon trolling rods but those seem a bit too light.  Everything else seems heavier than I'd want for brookies, rainbows and landlocks to 21" or so.
