The best fishing line is............

Conundrum:
In my opinion is Spider wire stealth braid.  I have used it a number of times this year and it is very good stuff.  Narrow diameter, low memory, very easy to cast, tough and really a joy to use.  I use it with my spinning reels and I would say its the best I have ever had.  I like it better than other braided line or mono I've tried.

I have tried so many lines over the years that I have been disappointed with that its nice to get great product that you love.  (This is better than even fireline and much cheaper with the rebates)

The one with a fish on the end of it.

stripernut:
Depends on what I am doing/fishing for... Ground fish and tuna, Cortland Master braid has been outstanding, casting from shore (making distance) for Lakers, I have been happy with 24lb Gliss and the list goes on...

Mac Attack:
I feel, as do many others, that there isn't one finite answer to this question.
WAY too many variable come into play.
Things like..........

Rod and reel used
