O.K who going to travel to view the eclipse on Monday.
-
I’m going to bed.
-
I would like to be fishing in the opposite direction people are swarming to. Trouble is it looks to be very breezy. We will see.
-
i'm traveling to see it ....from my house to my back yard i'm in the totality band ..... got beer tonight and everything i need for a few days......this is going to be ground zero and a lot of people
-
Traveling 5 miles to my daughter's house. The grandkids want to have a picnic outside to celebrate.
-
Yup. I’ll be traveling 15’ out my back door.
-
if you have never seen a total eclipse it's amazing and something you really want to see.............RG it's great this is right in our back doors
-
I'll be in my lawn chair in the middle of the parking lot at the Turning Stone I know I should bring the boat up and head for the sunnies in Big Bay but the wife doesn't care for being on the water until it gets warmer Shucks
-
trouble with that is the lights will come on when the eclipse starts
-
Staying home. 98.5 % coverage which is good enough for me. I could drive south about an hour for 100 percent, but why would I want to deal with this?

Probably be overcast
-
Looks that way at the moment Max.
-
Granted you won’t be able to see the whole eclipse but if it was overcast wouldn’t it be darker?

Yep!
-
if you are in a totality area it can't get any darker
-

Hadn't thought of that trapp, your right. I'll have to find another lot with no lights. They're around.

I think Dom has it figured out Boob.
;D

I live a couple hours north of the total zone. Just made a run to the store in the next town over. The south bound traffic is RIDICULOUS!!
-
i live in the totality zone and the roads are pretty lonely so far
-
I'm curious if the traffic lives up to the hype here in Oswego County.
I'll be driving 10 minutes down the road and watching it on the North Shore of Oneida lake. Yesterday would have been perfect. Oh Well.
-
i know oswego had people coming in last night but i had no problem going to wal mart and having coffee
-
Well I go to the dump on Monday mornings, it was closed do to the state of emergency 🤬
-
i just drove threw fulton and oswego and no problems at all

Bananas.
-
Bananas.
Also understood that 2 big hotels said there was a glitch so people got screwed and rented the rooms out at an inflated price to others
1 was a choice and a Hampton also heard our super 8 was inflating so sad , this time of year they all ought to be happy being full up 🙄
-
don't know if this will help anyone

It's absurd here in Indiana. Never seen anything like it.
-
I think a lot of people drove out of the Rochester area once they saw it was going to be overcast and headed west where the clouds are breaking. If I was an eclipse fanatic, that’s what I would have done.

To cloudy here , but it got so quiet you could here a pin drop , it was over all squirrels and birds showed back up
Wonder how the perch bite was during the eclipse
-
Decent show here in Wisconsin. Birds went totally bananas singing afterwards pretty cool.

An eagle flew over us just before the total eclipse. I wish I got a pic of that. Some good sized groups of people on the North Shore.
-
I sat on the driving range at the turning stone and watched all but 5 minutes of the first half. A big dark cloud came over and the show was done. What lousy luck.

I had a tom turkey cross the property just before the eclipse. No hens with him.
The eclipse was anticlimactic for me. 98.5 totality allegedly but it didn't seem to get very dark.
-
90ish percent in CT. My daughter got home with her glasses right as it was peaking. I took a look, pretty cool. She was into it.

friend said the perch bite got great during it fishing the south shore.
We hit Beak and Skiff and the bourbon was good both before, during and after. Cool watching the darkness come across the valley with a sunrise sky in the east rather than the setting in the west it should have been.
-
It was too cloudy in the SO Tier. got a little darker for a few mins, birds and squirrels stayed on the feeders without reaction......

we had a break in the clouds seen totality for about 3 seconds go as dark as midnight and the peepers started

We had an eagle fly right over us about 50 feet above us as well at my house just before the total eclipse happened! I’m guessing it was the same eagle. It was headed from the lake and heading north.

Could be. This one was headed East but they cover ground in a hurry.
