Walleye opener not the same as deer opener.
Opener for deer and you surprise them.
Opener of eyes is nowhere near the same.
Opener of deer, it gradually diminishes in chances from opening day.
Not the same for eyes.

YMMV.

opening day for eyes or deer depends on the importance to the  individual

After hemming and hawing I grabbed up the rod and headed for the shore managed 2 on , landed 1 that was 18.5” the other came off right at shore but I’m not as quick as I once was lol  , I entered the 1 fish and released her
  Good for a drawing
The wind was starting to die down about 2:00 am

The lake came up close to a foot this week. I had to crank the boat up in the hoist last night. It is looking good now.  :thumbup_smilie:

It looks dead calm out there...

Looks like they have the leader board up, 26" fish in first.

JM is a local guy , very good eye fisherman
Well I went back out and hit the shore line again for casting , biggest I could muster was a 22 1/4” and lost 1 close to shore around the same size and landed a nice eater
Weather is great and the lake was like a sheet of glass when I left  , but there were a few sprinkles on the north shore ,

Good deal Fred. Normally that might be enough to get you on the board. Not this year.
