We all have our nitches I like heavy weeds

x2 - I almost never fish deeper than 12fow

I go bass fishing and can’t keep those nasty eyes away. Top water baits in shallow water, jerkbaits shallow and deep, a-rigs, swim baits, crank baits, chatterbaits, and, even football jigs with plastic craw trailers. Those eyes don’t care what’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When they’re hungry, they’ll eat most anything. We have a great fishery, in Mother Oneida!!😎🎣

And yep. It's all working right now, which is awesome. Some things do pile 'em up quicker than others though. I'm not gonna target them on topwater anytime soon.

Thanks,
I checked few YouTube videos on snap jigging.   Will give it a world.  Now, what bate do I Use?  I have black and blue bucktail jigs, sonnars, and jigging raps.  Should I purchase anything else?  What about piece a nightcrawler or minnow head on the hook?
Thanks in advance.
Traveler

Sounds like you have the right stuff. I don't use any live bait open water but as Oneida1 said, if you want to fish slow maybe the crawler is the way to go. Good luck!

Bob, the top water baits don’t work all of the time. Early morning in about 5’ of water is when we’ve had them chase it and, eat it. More productive days are with the rest of the baits I mentioned. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!!😎

just finished up rebuilding our new place. that's right, we are now north of the mason dixon line up in west monroe. Sorry I haven't been posting. The last time we were out we got 2 walleyes,  couple sewer trout, and 4 nice perch. I think it's going to be a good fall bite on the perch. I've still got to side the new place before perch fishing.   Sully...
