I’ve been in a couple while mating on a charter boat back in the day , , it was something grabbing those rods 🤪

I remember jigging with my dad on Oneida back in the 90s on one of those prestorm static days. The line would litterly hang in the air when we would cast and the tips of the poles would crackle. Super fun when you're a teenager. Now I think I'll pass!

Great job Rugburn!

Thanks everyone, it was some much needed boat time...
I was in a static storm only one other time, up in Chaumont bay. My buddy had an IM8 rod and I was running an IM6. Every time he touched his rod he got an elbow numbing jolt, and no shocks for me. Shortly after he sold that rod, lol!

I have to admit it took me a while to find the bigger eyes as my usual spots were pretty void. Did some scouting and found some nice ones around a hump well away from any other boats. The wife kept saying trust your instincts. Did check some pancake flats on the way in one day. Looks like some nice marks were moving into the area but didn't fish it. Another notable was the wife catching her first sheep on a jigging rap, she was yelling "holy crap"!

Nice job Mr & Mrs F&R, we were out there somewhere at that time but didn't see your boat.

How are the little midges? Few weeks ago my grandson claims we ate at least a pound and he’s not into that again.

7 year old that never stops chewing! I tell him to close his mouth. Last summer we hit a spot in the channel near a weed mat that those little midges were so thick I couldn’t take it. Moved a mile and much better. Thank goodness they don’t bite.

Trolled four hours only one keeper and dozen shorts. On way in stopped at a spot and caught 25 perch in half hour on plastics. Vicious bite with followers. Kept enough and headed in
