Hi all,

On Nov.1 my uncle and I went for an afternoon of shorefishing around the Foam Lake area.

It was a very windy afternoon with large crashing waves.
We had to move to 3 spots before we could find an area that was fit to fish at. ::)

By the time we were finally at spot #3 the sun was low on the horizon and night fall was fast approching.

Within 15 min of setting up I had a hit, fish on, it turned out to be a lean 3 lb, 2 foot pike. :)

A few min later I saw another pike dart at my lure - it turned and grabbed the rubber jig's double tails but missed the hook, and was off right at the shoreline. :P

We contined to fish for another half hour, by this time, the moon was out.
Ten min. before we called it a night, I decided to try one more cast to where the moonlight was shining on the water and half way back to shore I get a solid hit.
At first I though I had a pike on by the strength of the strike but it didn't fight like one.  I finllay got it close enough to shore to see that it was a good sized walleye. :o

After a measurements and photos she was returned to the dark waters from which she came.

The walleye was very chunky and healthy looking, she must have been eating well.
She measured 26.25 inches and weighed 7.5 lbs.

She is my biggest walleye so-far, woo hoo.  :w00t:
