what is worse than eating a 10# eye from erie?  eating a 20# toxic fat filled greasier. lol  or maybe a huge turtle ;D

really though this is outstanding!  thats a great read you posted. thx!  will be interesting to see what comes of it.  maybe it will help tame down the commercial rape thats going on.  i would consider fishing erie again if it offered huge lakers!  just for fun of course.
  Big Lake Trout in Erie has been going on for a long time. Just documented natural reproduction hasn't. NY record has been held by lake Erie for sometime.

  My Terrova works great. Looks like a good trip swap to me. I will even cover the eels. They still $30 a dozen. I remember going threw 4 dozen one night a Montauk.

Trip swap for sure!  I have the gear to jig tuna as well but still trying for my first.  Ya eels are at a premium but also give the premium results!
