opening day results

so, i am guesssing by the quiet fishing board that the fish will be still there next weekend.Must have been slow i am gathering.I tried offshore but no luck either,lets hear the goood and bad stories of the weekend boys

me and a couple buddies fished the North Sask. yesterday for a couple hours.  I had a couple light bites and lost one close to shore on my pickeral rig.  My other buddies were casting jigs with no success.  A guy beside me yanked out a 5lb. sturgeon, otherwise he wasn't having much success either.  Anyone else have much luck fishing the N. Sask river?
