Crappy fishing in Mississippi
« on: Mar 18, 2010, 02:44 PM »
I flew to Memphis March 2ed and I have been fishing for crappy a few times.Man they are great eating. We have been getting a few real nice ones 14+". I fished one rainy day on a covered public marina. The guy I was with tied pine trees to the docks and sank the trees at different locations near polls or in corners about every 20 feet. Man I have not fished around this type of man made structure before but what a difference. When I fished even 5 feet away from these trees I would not get a bite, but right up close and we would get quite a few. Keep in mind these trees are totally under water from 3 feet down to 10-12. He tied cinder blocks on the bottom and tied the tops to the marina, works killer.
Its a lazy man that can't find his wife a second job
