Wow!!, I agree with SuperX on this to a point, I am not in favor targeting bass early. I completely agree with Super in that the season does little to protect the nesting bass. I think that the temps. here dictate the spawn, we have had long cold winters and the temps are too low to spawn by opening day. So now the fish are still pre spawn and legal. I have caught many fish full of eggs during the early part of bass season. To set the season so that spawning fish weren't caught would be too difficult.

i think this is where we can set up a code of ETHIC'S for all -ice fishing, boat fishing,
river fishing,fly fishing,back country fishing,@ 65 i have not taken the time to tell and show the new fisherpeople how to treat other people they meet,my dad told me
donot go there unless you ask[each time] let the other guy have the room you would
like.most sportpeople are good, the problem is the teaching
