Tried Eagle Lake (East of St Brieux) yesterday. We saw at least a hundred dead perch floating in the lake but most were very small.
Fishing was slow but we managed to catch 20 or so between the two of us. The water was cool between 58 and 60f.
The lake has taken a pretty good hit with winterkill but I think there are still some numbers of perch there. We didnt keep any as we hope the lake bounces back .
I'm off to northern Alberta next week for some fishing and family. Will be eager try Lenore and Last mountain when I get back.
