Quality Bluegill Lakes in Canada?
« on: May 10, 2020, 12:05 PM »
Not that the chances are good getting across the border to go fishing in Canada this summer due to the travel restrictions, but I've been doing some research on lakes in Canada where the bluegill fishing quality is good. And as we all probably know bluegills aren't really all that big a deal to Canadians, so all but ignored, which can make fishing for them a blast up there.

So I've come up with the following so far:

Bob's Lake, Pigeon Lake, Rice Lake, Buckhorn Lake, Lake Nipissing, Mississippi Lake.

Typically the wife and I rent a cottage on a lake via Vrbo or airbnb. It's going to be rough not being able to vaca somewhere this year.  :'(

Anybody else have any suggestions? Not a fish hog. Keep a few to eat but mostly catch and release on a fly rod.
