Barleydog------My four legged hunting/fishing partner's  name is "Barley", he's a "D.O.G." so the name glued together = Barleydog! ;D  Not very original but effective...

Mine stands for a local lake that I always fish during the hardwater season. I found shanty first, and made my s/n for my lake. So when I came here I just kept it the same.
Can't catch a fish without a line in the water....

when i was in 6th grade a kid in my class looked up all our names in a one of those books that has what names meen for when people r choosing names for their kids, she couldetn finde a defintion  for mine  ( its Heath, by the way) so my teacher had me look it up up in a dictanary and it came up as a row of shrubs, for the rest of that year everybody in my class called my shrub, so thats what i used when i found I.S, so i carried it over here (and over to My Hunting Forum)
She said that if i go fishin one more time she was gonna leave me....whell im gonna miss her!!

Neat subject, I was also wondering about the meaning of the names on here.
Mine is the English translation of the northern pike's scientific name. Esox lucius means
water wolf.
I chose this because the northern pike was the very first fish that I ever caught, and since then I am hooked for life on this great sport of fishing.  Pike are one of the most wide spread fish in my area, and I can usually count on them to bite. They alway give a good fight large or small, and are my favorate to eat.
 In short I like pike. ;D :)

From one of the first bass lures I had in the 50's as a kid. I still have the red and white one in my tackle box but only for luck, never use it.
