LAKE BRUCE
« on: Mar 02, 2024, 09:47 AM »
Was going to give it a try next week. Used to do well after ice out. I know as of late, there have been a lot of dinks caught. Hope they grew up a bit. Either way it will be good to get the boat out. Any reports appreciated.

Sorry, no report here. I have all but given up on that lake except for muskie. I thought that maybe the muskie would help the pan fish but from my experiences, that hasn't happened. Good luck if you go.

Caught a dozen nice fish. They are getting bigger. Nothing huge but 9 to 10 inches. Had something break me off. Possibly a ski. Bass Lake bait is now closed permanently. So, we went with no bait. A first for me. Jigs worked, however, if we would have had minnows, we would have done much better. Beautiful day to be on the water. Glad I decided not to try Lake Michigan. That wind picked up and that would of been a nightmare getting back.
