Told my buddy one more cast and I'm outta here. So I casted it out a short distance and walked along the shoreline(walk trolling) and BAM! Got this lil surprise. Great way to end the day.

Yes it is. Maalwyck Park in Scotia. It's the other side of Lock 8. Above the chemical spill at Knolls.

I just showed my son your last cast post! I said "What kind of fish is that?" Using my curser to point the eye of your eye !! All he could do is see and point to was your hoodie and hat !! Thats his team... Nice fish also.

Are those fish ok to eat outta the Mohawk?? I used to catch walleyes below lock 7 by the power plant, but always assumed the river was nasty and I probably shouldn't be eating the fish from there...

The river has cleaned up remarkably ! If ya don't want to eat them, send them my way ... 8)

I called the Health Dept. to check after the chemical spill at Knolls. He said that spill is long gone and all is good. he told me that the ban on eating fish below Lock 7 has been lifted. Also children are now allowed to eat the fish too. The river has cleaned itself up bigtime!!! It's all good in the Mohawk. He told me too that the Mohawk in this area here is the cleanest of the river. So eat up !!!

alright one more, ok one more, this is the last one I swear ! Oh yeah ! Many times. But this one was an honest last cast. I threw it out and walked downstream to my stuff to get it and leave and WHAM! I have spent a half hour on last casts tho.
