I fished the East Housatonic in Dalton this morning.,
Sunny, blue skies, 87 degrees - - decent water levels.
I started by the Depot Street bridge and dam. Forty five minutes of fishing yielded five brookies (one 10", two 11", one 12" and one 13").
I drove down to the East Housatonic Street bridge and dam and fished for another 20 minutes or so, landing one 9" brown.
Driving home, I stopped at the Gulf Road pond and fished or 5 minutes, but didn't have any takers, and found the bottom unpleasantly silty.
Got back in my car, and drove to where Cheshire (1st) Lake rolls over a small dam at the start of the South Hoosic. Nothing doing.
Then I drove to South Brook in Cheshire and fished for about half an hour. The haul was two lilliputian (4" - 5") brookies and one decent (8") one.
