Son's Pike

My son sent a pic of a small pike he got in CO on a flyrod (with a dropper rig) and the coloring of the pike looked real good and thought I would share it;

Wow, that's a nice pike, but the coloring seems odd.

Maybe it's my monitor, but it looks like it has some pink along its sides.

It looks more brown than pink, but I will ask him. I uploaded a larger pic also...

Interesting pattern in it too, a beautiful little beast.

I've noticed younger pike have some bar markings along with the spots. Anybody else?
