nice buck kc and deadeyez, I'm all tagged out except for 8n and 8h. I'm a meat hunter for the most part and i slayed a whole family of deer yesterday, then proceeded to kill my liver with firewater but it was all in good fun!

I used to hunt private property, I did alot of work for this farmer and he would give me access to his land, I used to do a little but a little wasnt doin so a little got more and more, so I quit that gig and just hunt the good ol nys property, and letchworth. I wish I had land to put up trail cams and ladder stands but ill keep putting them down in my climber and draggin em up gulleys until im not able to anymore. I had some awesome land that i used to hunt until the fire dept and sheriffs leased it out. the owner didnt even give me the option to lease it once the law started asking for permission. hunting  land is hard to come by, so I study the state lands and shoot whatever I feel like.
done dirt cheap!

You are in a deer rich area. We have a lot of stateland near me. But alot is pine plantions that don't have a lot of feed for the deer. I have private land I can hunt. Also have 12 acres of my own. 30 feet off my deck and I am hunting.

Great job to all that connected!

I shot a 6 pt Saturday. Then Sunday while watching the Giants game (and napping) the wife says "deer deer". So I jumped to action and shot the doe on our back yard. She does love her venison, good wife!

LOL, she's not big on that part of the job Fred! Still working on the baiting the hook thing. But she can cook, and helps with firewood!  :thumbup_smilie:

Jay and I were out Saturday Morning. I shot a decent 8pt at 7:17 and Jay got a 4pt at 8:30. He went for walleye in the afternoon and landed 2 keepers. I am going for walleye tomorrow and  every day I can after as we now have 4 in the freezer.
