Name this hound
« on: Aug 18, 2009, 02:04 PM »
Well with fishing season winding down for me now my hunting season starts in less than 3 weeks.  In an effot to make this season longer and more enjoyable, Laine and I have picked up a couple of hounds to hunt hare with.

This particular hound is a Blue Tick/Beagle mix. (father is AKC 100% BT and mom is AKC 100% beagle)

His name is not liked so we are going to change it.  Please look at the pics and be creative with names!

My cousin has a dog that was named Griz. He was the best dog I have ever seen to run coyotes, cougars, and bob cats. Griz died in the line of action...there will only be one Griz.

About the dog...thanks! He is going to learn from the seasoned NKC registered red and white stud coming next month.  This other dog is a great solo dog so hopefully they will run well together.

You know I thought of that one myself.  I hope to get him registered with the NKC for breeding purposes. I thought his registered name could be FCGS Sargent Slaughter

Other names I have thought of for future pups:

Contender "connie"
Rampage  "paige"

He looks like "Patches" would work.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.
