I got my Pit Boss pellet smoker out of the storage facility and here to the house yesterday.  The new cover for it arrived today.
I’m going to smoke something next weekend for sure……….and some beans!!!!

Leave the windows open tonight

Making a loaded nacho plate for us in a bit. Haven’t felt like eating in 10 days or so. Nothing really tasted good. Sure glad to be on the mend. Had a nice strip steak and salad last night. Mmmmm good!

Next up this week is stew for dinner/ freezer then chili I think.

Freezer is getting full and I’m happy for that. These days we’ve got to plan way…way….way ahead.

Glad your better bob! And yea I've been filling freezer with meals also,,,I have been thinking of making some Mexican food got a craving ...years ago my old girlfriend s grandma was from Mexico...she had an authentic Mexican restaurant called Nanna Margie's I helped out there and learned her recipes..when she moved I bought the restaurant out but problems with land lord shut it down ...but great experience and the recipes I learned where great...her enchilada sauce was outstanding and I make it ! Thing is I only know recipe for a restaurant supply for a day so I'll freeze a bunch

I'm working in the other direction.
We are working on eating the food we had in the freezer.
We brought it all south with us.
We went through it and decided to eat it up and start over.
Some of the soups and sauces in there were 3-4 yrs old.
Not that this matters.
It's not meat where it can get freezer burn.
We simply wanted to start over.
We are on a quest.

Well, with the larder I’ve put up we’re probably good for 4-5 months right now. Haven’t made sauce yet but it’s on the list. It’s odd that we feel this way l..like we have to prep for the coming months. Strange times indeed.

But, we’ll eat well and be warm and cozy anyway. And…I don’t mind cooking for a good reason.

Thanks. I’m back on top today. Mowing greens and out on the course with my Son this morning. (Wings in the oven) Beautiful morning and the best of company.

Really, I work the other 4 days so I can work with my Son on Sunday morning. We’re so close and such good friends. Every minute is priceless.

An old guy can’t ask for much more.

Well….maybe some wings!
