It’s funny Oneida perch actively eat during the spawn but on skinny once the males start following females and they start dropping eggs you might as well leave. You can see hundreds and not get bit.
Got out last nite for a little while. Bite was good on crawlers rite off then the little perch found the banquet and I couldn't keep a bait on the bottom. I switched to all shrimp and did much better. Ended up with 20 good ones and few throw backs.
I might try to get out Saturday night for a few hours I forgot how much fun they can be

"The Spring survey will begin in New Hampshire waters on April 29th, working its way east to finish up about May 31st near Cutler/Lubec.
