For the 1st time in too long Will (Baitbucket) and I took his boat out for the morning, looking to jig up some lakers.... And they were very cooperative! We got them on a variety of jigs in 75-90ft of water and the count at 10:30 was 20, with many more dropped. He both had to get to work but stopped for a few casts for smallies and I got one pushing 4lbs on a blade bait. Off the water at about 11 for a beautiful morning!

Nice job 👍

Beautiful!

What's cool about Lake trout is they are physostomes. They are one species of fish that has a pneumatic duct connecting the gas bladder to the alimentary canal. This allows them to belch out air build up from bringing them quickly up from the deep.

Nice work guys. I've been after them too but on a different lake...

Nice laker! I am afraid that if I had enough time to run out to a lake in NY (guessing) I would be hitting the salt...

Hahaha. We've been getting them on quabbin too. Allan I've been on and off regarding a 28ft stamas...I think I'm 80% convinced...I'd rather fish the salt too. If I do grab it we gotta go offshore.

I look forward to it! I will bring the tuna and shark gear...

Heading out tomorrow for big fluke and bottom fish. Tuna rod is coming as well. You never know.
