Annual Spring Seabass Slam
« on: Jun 24, 2021, 08:22 PM »
well my seabass season has come to a wrap and my freezer is completely stuffed. this season was weird with a majority of the bigger fish out in deeper more open water. they didn't push in to their usual near shore spots as plentiful as they normally do. Also tide had a huge factor in success which was unlike years prior where any tide produced. Needed to take the longer run to consistently get on quality fish. quite a few nice tog in the mix too that will be turned into chowder. These are all the photos I have but there was much much more behind the scenes.

Great job!  You always seem to figure them out regardless of the conditions.

Nice haul. Always good to fill the freezer with sea bass. I'm working on it. The couple times I have been out were good days. Same here though. Not  a lot of big ones in the shallower waters. With this heat it will push them deeper. Time to start hitting the 95 to 110 foot range for the bigger ones. I got a few spots .
I fish every chance I get and enjoy every time I fish. They call it fishing not catchin
