Why on a jig hook Joe?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I am going to be fishing for a lot of smallmouths this year and my favorite fly is a Woolybugger. Weighted and unweighted. With and without a bead head.

Also, with bluegill spawning coming on soon I am tying some more black spiders. A few orange and a few green ones too.

Cool stuff Doober. The bass will be slurping those up soon enough ;D

Trapper sent me a couple of his mice last year. I have to dig them out and post them. They're too nice to toss out here for a bass. I stashed them away. I still have fits spinning hair flies :-\ Mental block I think.

If you tied those on extra strong mustads...they would be steelhead killers!

I used to tie a steelhead fly similar to that. It's where I got the idea. Man, the spawning gills will not tolerate that fly . They attack it with a vengeance. It sinks nose first and darts when short stripped. When I finish the rod I'm building, I need to tie a bunch of those for Honeoye at ice out. The monster seeds will be waiting ;D
