If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Here goes JR! RG's Crayfish.
Wrap a hook with lead and wrap it down.

Clip and stack a clump of deer hair. Tie it in at the bend of the hook

Wrap the thread forward under the hair, then tie down the hair at the front of the hook

Wrap back and tie down the hair

Split the clump with your bodkin and separate

Put a drop of Zap A Gap at the base of the clump while holding it at about 90 degrees to the body. If you glue your fingers to the hair....I'll laugh ;D

Cut a piece of Thin Skin, clip the ends as shown and tie it in at the head gloss side up

Burn a set of mono eyes. I use 50 lb mono and an alcohol lamp, color them black with a sharpie and tie them in at the head

Dub a head over and around the eyes and stop the thread in the middle of the dubbing

Fold the thin skin back and tie it down with a couple of wraps

Continue dubbing and tying down the Thin Skin

Clip the tail in a V shape and brush out the dubbing to create some legs

Now...GO CATCH SOME BASS ;D

We sure will!!! Could you substitute in regular dumbell eyes for the eyes on it or stay with the mono??

Yeah,
The bigger ones I gave you had dumb bell eyes. If you do that, you can skip wrapping the hook with lead. You can also turn the hook over and tie it upside down to help resisting snags on the bottom.

That would probably be the better way to tie them with the dumbell eyes on  with the hook up!! Just tie everything the same way then flip it over and put they eyes on right??

Yup.
If you tie it normally. the dumb bell eyes will invert it in the water because the weight will be on the bottom.
