Lobstick River?
« on: Jun 30, 2008, 12:03 PM »
Anyone got anything to say about the Lobstick River flowing out of Chip Lake on the east side into the Pembina River?  Heard a rumor this is a good river for Burbot...  Thinking of hitting it tomorrow, just trying to get some inside info.  Let me know if you know anything...

Just so you know (a little late) but I did manage to hit Lobstick in three different areas about a month ago.  One spot was extremly weedy (first bridge east of Chip lake).  The second spot was too shallow, looked good for trout, but no trout in Lobstick.  The third spot looked good for walleye & pike, but I think I may have been on someone's farmland & didn't stick around long enough to find out (or catch any fish for that matter).  In my opinion Lobstick east of Chip was a bust.  Maybe first thing in the Spring (when the water is highest) it may be worth a go, but I imagine it's weedier & shallower by now...
