Rutland County Brown
« on: Jul 18, 2017, 09:10 AM »
Brown trout, caught and released in a Rutland County stream Saturday evening after the storms. 22", my biggest to date this year. 4 lb. test, size 10 hook. Perfect hookset in the corner of the jaw. A twenty minute fish from hookset to net, picture, and release.

 ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.
The brook trout is the prom queen of the trout world, and a promiscuous prom queen at that!

It was a 4'6" UL spinning rod with 4 lb. Trilene. It was fun!  ;D

That is a beautiful fish! congratulations on the catch and release!  There are some very nice browns down in that area that I loved to target when I was going to Castleton some years back

Nice fish! The browns are definately liking these higher waters. I missed three browns in the mid teens Sunday morning.
