Haven’t made calzones in a long time. Looks great. I like your menu too Fred.

My Bride and I will have our New Years dinner tonight. I have to tend to the diy’ers at Lowes today so we took it easy last night.

Our tradition is scallops and shrimp with my Alfredo on angel hair pasta......and champagne.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Standing rib roast tonight.
It's already out of the fridge resting and coming to room temp.
I will make a butter, garlic, herb paste for it.
Frozen asparagus spears (couldn't locate fresh - ???) and also some sort of frozen summer mixed vegetables blend.
And some simple smashed potatoes with bacon, garlic, and cheese in them.
Oh yea, and a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer.

We decided to wait till tomorrow for our new year dinner. I’ll have more time to play in the kitchen.

My son made fresh bagels for breakfast today. They were amazing. The taste and chew to them was way beyond store bought

Picked up a nice Angus Filet Mignon to go with our scallops and shrimp Alfredo tonight. Might be later this afternoon. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.

Yeah...it was.

Discovered I was lacking angel hair pasta. Pulled some of my home made pasta out of the freezer. It was almost all really great. ( pasta was in the really great category)

I popped the garlic toast in the oven after taking out the filet to rest. Forgot the garlic toast. My Bride said.”what’s burning?”

I said ...oh crap!

All the rest was really delicious...with leftovers.

My son's last day before returning to Colorado and deployment.  Did a prime rib roast  ( reverse search method ) came out amazing.  Roasted potatoes and steamed asparagus.  Awesome dinner
