I understand that we have some members that have son's and daughters that have been deployed to the war .
I would like to take the time to say thank you to them all ... and equally important thank you to the families that have given them up to due their time honord duty for us .

THANK YOU ...YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS !

He speaks the truth being my father and having seen me going through the process of deployment, and having been through it himself several times.
I would like to take the time to thank my father for his support during my basic training, AIT and my deployment. Without his love and constant support my time in the military would have been nothing short of miserable.
So inconclusion, parents and family members, friends and neighbors....please support our troops. You have no idea the power of a one page letter with a few pictures can make a soldiers morale boost sky high.

I have to second that.  Putting your lives on the line so we can have places like MFF.  I have 2 cousins that went to Iraq.
Only 1 might come home.   You have my full support.   Everyone in our armed services deserves a handshake and a thank you.
care for a warm up?

Huge thank-you to all involved in keeping me and mine safe!!

BOO-YA!!

A side note, a very close friend here at work lost her son this past Sept in Iraq. He was from the Port Huron area of Michigan's thumb. So a huge thank-you to sgt. Casey Howe for giving the ultimate gift to all of us.

Same here from someone that has also served. However my nephew that just returned from Iraq has told me something that troubles me. My nephew was wouned twice by mortar shrapnel, the second time more seriously than the first, which has left him with shrapnel in his hand, elbow, and gut which is not being removed. He received a Purple Heart for his wounds. He served his enlistment (actually more than the normal enlistment due to stoploss). Anyway he just got a letter in the mail that says to get his affairs in order as he could be re-enlisted in 90 days and redeployed to Iraq.

Please tell me: If Rumsfeld keeps saying we have plenty of troops, why is he being told they may call him back in and why did the letter say they are having problems with troop numbers? And why do I know a few guys that have been deployed 3 times to Iraq? I know one that is going back for the 4th time but it's voluntary as he doesn't want is platoon to be without him.
